404 error.........sporadic

Anyone else get the 404 error. It doesn't matter if I am accessing my apex thru my internal network or outside of my network. Doesn't happen all of the time, just enough to be a real bother. I did a bit of research and found some folks saying to update the firmware and webpages..... been there, done that, didn't seem to help much. It is brand new, just wondering if there is anything else I could try before returning it. Other then the network issues I really like how configurable it is. It is not as easy to set up, but I feel it allows you to do a whole lot more then my reefkeeper did.

Are you getting the 404 when you try to retreive the login page or is this after you login?

Is it a specific page or does it vary?

Are you requesting the web page using the domain name 'apex' or via an IP address?

I'm spradically getting this as well and have a feeling it might be related to my router...because everytime I reset my router, I'm able to connect to the Apex again, but I'll also be able to randomly be able to connec then not connect to the Apex during the day w/o touching the router.

Are you using DHCP or a static IP? I use DHCP, but I have my router assigns the same IP address based on teh APEX's unique MAC address...I have a feeling my issue maybe related to that and perhaps yours if you are doing the same/ Also, if you are using DHCP, check to see how long until the lease expires. I found mine was set to 4 hours..when I changed it to 30 days it became much more table...but I'm still getting periodic outages, but not as frequent. I'll need to try to set a static IP and see if that helps once I receive my display back (in for a repair).

Also, do you hapen to be using an Apple Airport Extreme Router?
