Note: Editorial opinion. I only know my experience, which could be idiosyncratic.
If that sixline, no other wrasses. If not the sixline, and if covered ... a fair # of choices. I'd look towards the smallest fairy wrasses, as without substrate IMO my flashers [carpenters/etc] seemed to suffer - where my Exquisite/fairy-type seems to do just fine sleeping in the rocks. That and flashers/fairy wrasses jump a LOT, and even with every inch covered in eggcrate, I've still had them make it through
Some [like yellow coris] I wouldn't try without substrate - and none of the more mellow wrasses I'd consider with a lot of other fish or with anything aggressive. Just my 2 cents.
I really enjoy my smaller gobies [masked, want more], blennies [have had tail-spot + midas]. Clowns are good, but can get aggressive after time IMO ... just depends if you want the clown/6-line/hawkfish way or more of the small goby, fairy/other wrasse, mellow-tank leaning. Both are sweet tanks, but IMO I'd go with more aggressive reef-safe fish or all non-aggressive.
