Well yeasterday we moved the tank thanks to the great members of SLASH our reef club. I couldnt have done it without them.
The tank came out of a basement with no walkout and an 8ft ceiling. The tank filled the stairway with no room to spair, and we had to lift it over the stair runner just to get it on the stairs. It was a very difficult move out.
Tank moved off stand
the stairs it had to go up
Wrapping the tank which worked very well, moving pads with stretch wrap holding the pads on
Looks like the move was fun. I had to move my 250 from 1st floor to 2nd floor and that just about killed me and all of my ex-friends(hehe) that helped move it so I can only imagine the back pain from yours.
Plumbing almost done! Pump should be here tomorrow and hopefully I can do a tank fill next week.
Looking for critics and ideas for the next part. What would be the best way to hook the skimmer into the system. The pump is sitting below the skimmer right now and it was suggested to drill into the side of the sump or could I take a feed from the end of the 4" pipe and drop it over the edge to the skimmer pump feed. Only thing I can think of is maybe not enough water would make it to the end to feed the pump. Dont like the idea of drilling the sump but may be the only way
Anyway, here is the plumbing I have done, pick it apart and I will make corrections or take ideas and work with them as I have no glued anything yet and wont until I am satisfied this is the best way to go
