Hi all,

I'm looking for feedback on presentation (rock structure etc..) any suggestions???

Uh,

What rock structure?

All I see is a BEAUTIFUL 24" RED HADDONI! How long have you had it?

I also dig the placement of the Purple Formosa!

I've had that Haddoni for two years, if you can believe that! I've heard heard they're hard to keep for long periods of time, but I've had no trouble with mine. I never feed it directly, it eats leftover arctipods and mysis shrimp. If you look closely you can see a smaller red haddoni towards the top and to the left. Part of it is blocked.

I think the tank looks nice =) b/c of its size all the SPS just need time to grow/fill in. I think your rock is fine and it leaves the fish with plenty of swimming room.

Do you prefer to keep the back glass clean?

I want purple algae to grow on it, but so far only brown and green algae grow on it...Do I leave the ugly algae on it until purple and pink algae grow on it?

How you clean it back glass so clean? do you clean it regularly? are do the rocks lean on the back glass? looks like you have good nitrate and phosphate control on your system.

I like your rock structures btw, it has layers so that you can place corals with the light needs while gives very nice 3D view and gives lot space for fish and SPS to grow too.

How long has the tank being setup? it's very nice tank.

I clean the back glass at least once a week, sometimes more. Some rocks lean against it, but the peak of the rock structure is in the middle of the tank instead of against the back glass.

I have a 280g refugium and 3x125g sumps(filled with live rock) which help nitrates and phosphates. I use to run a phos reactor but I took it off...

It's been running for 1.5 years.

i like the setup but you need to look at long term, such as coral growth, how long before they start battling each other and spend energy on war with neighbors instead of growth? i am speaking out of experience , i personaly was packing my 11 ft display much like what you are and my friend jeremy kept harping on me untill i started some rearanging, and since i have my corals have started to take off. just my opinion. good luck and keep us posted

well if you clean the back glass, don't use a razor... althought i woudn't clean it at all to help give the purple coraline a chance to grow

This is a picture of my lighting before the canopy was finished. It's 3x1000w radium/futurebright bulb and ballast. 8x48" sunlight supply actinic fixtures with geismann pure actinic bulbs. They are all attatched to "yo-yo's" and move up and down individually.

I don't have any really good pictures of my equipent yet, but I will have them tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the responses it's nice to get so much feedback.

here are my skimmers and my fantastic kalk stirrer. 3 Bubble King Supermarin 250's.

Seriously though, I'm piecing together my system slowly, but with top of line equipment.

epoxy, which doesn't always work. picking up fallen coral sucks. Now thankfully the coral has attatched.
