46 gallon newbie, lights and water?

Ok, I added my LR and have begun testing the water. PH 8.5, Ammonia, nitrite and nitrate are next to nothing. IS this strange or is the live rock really doing that good of a job? As far as lighting. should I be running the daylights and actinic at the same time? or set up some kind of schedule. Also if the water remains good for this week should I introduce any fish yet?

If the rock is cycled you might not see a actual cycle. Keep checking the levels over a few days, if the ammonia and nitrite are 0 the cycle is over.
I would not run the lights, since all you will do is increase the algae growth you will have.
If the levls stay at 0 for a week you could try and introduce 1 fish.

You have to give things time before you start getting readings. Wait a few days and then check it.
