46 Gallon reef w/ fish ICH problem

My 46 gallon reef with fish has an ICH problem. My wife just called and told me "Flowers" died (our small yellow tang). I done a hefty water change and upped the temperature to about 83 deg., turned off the protien skimmer and added kick-ich (we are only on day three of the treatment). I unloaded all the fish and soaked them in hydroplex for about 15 minutes before I put them back in the kick-ich treated aquarium. I upped my salinity a little higher-- .026 hydro. Is there anything else I can do? Or am I doing all I can to try to save my fish? I was also wondering if anenomes & corals can get ich. Any help would be appreciated..... Leo :worried:

Here is what I would do. Set up a seperate tank to use as a treatment tank. Make sure it is well established before you put your fish in it. I would then remove all my fish from the main tank and treat them with Cupramine for 4 weeks. You must leave your main tank without fish for at least 10 weeks. Don't worry about corals and anemones in your main tank they can not host ich.

I would not put any of that reef safe stuff in my tank. It does not work and is only adding more stress to the fish. Large water changes and keeping the water quality excellent is the best you can do till that treatment tank is cycled. If the fish are eating they should be able to fight it off. But you have to remove anything that is causing stress......Put the temp back to normal and keep water pristine...Good Luck!
