46gal Metal halide lighting question??

I have a 46gal bowfront and was wanting to get a metal halide light fixture, but have know idea what kind to get... If you have a 46gal bowfront with pics of the lighting please show me,any advice on this lighting question would help thanks

The problem you'll run into with a single bulb MH system is that the bulb will be directly over the plastic brace. Most 36" fixtures with 2 MH bulbs, which would be on either side of the brace, would be overkill for a 46, if you can even find any. I'd suggest looking into 36" T5Ho fixtures.

In response to your email, NO, I wouldn't recommend cutting the center brace out. I had a similar problem awhile back, with my 46 bowfront. I've decided to go with a Tek 5, 4 bulb, T5HO fixture instead. It'll allow me to grow anything that MH lighting would grow.
