Hello all...
I have a 48" 8x54w T5 fixture. I have had it for approximately 2 years. It currently has 4 actinics and 4 other white mixture bulbs in it. The bulbs all work, however, if you are wanting to do a reef, I would recommend replacing them. But, if you are wanting to start off w/ softies and/or fish, then the bulbs will work for you for awhile. I have upgraded and even though this has been a GREAT fixture for me, I no longer need it. I have honestly tried to find this online, and I can't seem to find it anymore. I find alot of the 4x54 and 6x54w but not this one. It emits a total of 432 watts of light!! I have successfully kept clams, and millipora's and even the lower lighted corals. I know I paid close to $500 for this light, but I will part w/ it for $300.
I also have the 4x65w coralife fixture f/s also.
thanks
