Looks like I’m having a serious problem with water temperatur. Noticed lot of dead crabs in the tank since all the water parameters are ok check the temperature of the water and its about 34 Celsius.

Here in sri lanka these days normal temperature is at 32 to 35 Celsius.Place where I fix filters are not air conditioned and make the matter worse tank is open to a space between second floor and ceiling of the first floor without any ventilation. And in day time its heat up to about 38 Celsius..

Only the shop floor is air conditioned to 18 Celsius. But since glass is 18mm it’s not doing much to cool the tank water.

Yesterday I purchase BOYOU LN3800 chiller and hope I’ll get it today. Most of the live rocks are dying and looks like have to change the water. All of it.

BOYOU LN3800 chiller is the only large capacity models available in Sri Lanka and it says it can rapidly cool 1200L to 2400L of water from 35 Celsius to 18 Celsius. My tank capacity is about 2600L but I only want to take down 34 water to 27 so I hope this model will work for me.

Chiller arrives at last. Its huge chiller and barley fits in filter room. Check the size compare to 1" ball valve.

Looks like I have to do complete water change again. because of the heat lot of things died in the tank and it messed up the water quality pretty bad.

Skimmer is working like crazy. This is a snap shot I took about 3 hours after cleaning the skimmer cup.

Clean the whole tank yesterday and fill it up with fresh NSW. Done bit of modification to the rock structure as well.
