4th Of July Frag Auction / Bar B Que ?

Hi all,

Gary and I were thinking about hosting another frag Auction/ get together / Bar B Que, scheduled for Tuesday, July 4th.

We wanted to know if anyone thought it to be a good idea and would be interested in attending. We figured it would be a good way to enjoy the 4th Of July . We could schedule it to take place early in the afternoon to leave the evening open for those with plans to enjoy fireworks. Our pool would also be open for use. Kids would be welcomed.

That's a long time away. I can't plan for next weekend! It does sound good though. I'll let you know as we get closer to the 4th.

Oh Yeh, Gary's NEW TANK should be up and running by then (hopefully).

Maybe the weekend before the 4th? We usually have a standing BBQ that we do that day.

I'm a thinking the weekend before would be somewhat better for me, as I might have to be on stand-by. If I be on stand-by no drive down.

Thank you for the suggestions. Nothing is set in stone yet. Just trying to get a feel of what every one thought. Of course it wouldn't be any fun if no one could make it. We'll play it by ear for now.

Just checked my work schedule. July 4th is on Tuesday. I am off work Sat and Sun July 1 & 2. Were these the days you guys (Karen and Chris) were saying is ok? I too work the weekend of Jul 8 & 9, and would be able to attend.

July 1st and 2nd are great for me. I won't know until the week before if I am on stand-by for the 4th, all I know is my turn is coming up.

I was actually trying to plan it for the Fourth of July itself as a way to celebrate it and have an auction at the same time. If some of you work during the day we could set the time for the evening also. I just figured some of you might have standing plans to see fireworks that night. Again we can just play it by ear for now. Gary and I are pretty much open for any time of day on the 4th of July. I'll post another poll later on to see which time would be better, early afternoon or evening.

That would be great ! 9 so far to possibly attend. Thats not bad.

4th of July during the day, I think I can close for the holiday. if its on a weekend sundays work for me, seeing how I am not going to be able to make the PROP auction today (10th)
