4x24 watt on 20g! HELP!

Is this fixture to strong or is it fine? How far from the tank does it have to be up? help please i upgraded from a coralife 50/50 light

Ya, its fine for most LPS/soft corals...just swap the bulbs for ATI, KZ or GIESSEMAN bulbs.
The best thing you can do is swap to these bulbs.

ATI BLUE PLUS
ATI CORAL PLUS / AQUA BLUE SPECIAL (for a little less blue) / GE6500 for a sunnier look.

I would suggest strong bulbs like something close to the first combo for good growth. From deep blue to lighter blue/white
3 blue, 1 purple - deep blue with purple undertones
2 blue, 1 coral, 1 purple - med blue with purple undertones
2 blue , 2 coral - light med blue but good growth, good start from where you are coming from
2 blue, 1 aquablue, 1 purple - med blue leith purple
3 blue, 1 GE
2 blue, 1 GE, 1 purple - white with purple undertones.
I wouldn't go any more white than the last.

These are more popular combos but you can create combos in between if its to your liking.

How much would i end up spending on these bulbs im pretty new and would love if u can send me some links of the bulbs

It depends, usually 14-$20 each for this size but you must look around, I know some places sell Giessemn bulbs for $13-$17 for this size but at not have all bulbs available.
Reefgeek.com is where I buy, expect $20 each.
