Ok ok I am getting ready to order a new tank the dimensions are 4'x3'x2 eurobraced, w/the front pane and right pane being staphire. It also will have a external overflow which will double as a holding tank for new fish. The overflow will be 2'x8"x8". I Have a ton of new equiptment already that I will be using form my 120g. I alwasy have had oversized equiptment because of this reason lol. I will have a KZ S Skimmer 1/2hp PC Chiller 2 400w MH on IC Elec ballasts. Also 2 vortechs possibly also might throw in 2 tunze 6100's. I would love some advice on some stuff. I will be using all new marcorock for this tank. I am thinking between 150-200lbs. It will be curing for between 2 1/2-3 months. Also I have had BB tanks now for about 8 years. I am thinking about going w/ a SSB or maybe DSB what do you guys think ? I JUST traded my luminarc III's for smaller reflectors since I had NO room under my canopy with them on my 120 and now I need them but now I am wondering do I go back to them or the new lumenbrights ? Again what do you guys think ?
Thanks

1. lumenbright minis... i got mine from reef specialty but check the measurements... i wouldn't waste your time on spider reflectors. if it was lumenarc vs lumenbrights, go brights =)
2. my tank is 5'x3'x30" - (being made now) and will have a SSB. IMO, if you go DSB you should get a 30" tank, otherwise viewing area might not be to ur liking. (i don't believe in DSB's in the tank so instead I'll have a rubbermaid with high flow and sand in it under the tank near the refugium). It's easier to keep it clean this way imo and you can remove it or add it after the rocks finish cycling.
3. dunno what a kz s skimmer is... I'm still undecided on vortech/tunze. I've even thought about 4-6 6055 tunze's as they're almost the same price as 2 6100's with magnets with 1-2 6055's.

i forgot if you had any more questions, keep us posted =)

chrissreef- I'm getting ready to order a 60"x36"x30 tank also. If you don't mind me asking, who is building your tank? Are you going with a CL?

Chris I have both in my 120 vortecs and tunzes. I am really leaning towards the ssb. But wanted to hear eveyones take on it thanks for you input. I had a bubbleking 250 INT before my KZ skimmer the BK was amazing on my old tank but that was alot bigger it was too much for my 120 so I sold it and bought the KZ skimmer the thing is amazing

4everwet - i'm having A.G.E. build it here in Dallas... (they're a bit pricy but have a 3/4" eurobracing single piece and starboard/pvc base - so you drop a rock on the bottom or hit the eurobracing with a hammer and never worry about a leak. Infact - they've never had a tank leak in their history. I'm having 2 internal overflows with slanted edges in the back 2 corners (though if I did it again I might have done external back overflow or side overflow OR back corners but have the tank be 40" wide so after the overflows, i would still have 34"). It's starfire 1/2" glass. Oh, I haven't seen it yet, but might have done 72" too - go figure! haha

CL? nope - I like powerheads... I can change them, wavemake them, redirection/position them etc. If yo do them right, you won't even notice them =)

Wow the "5x3" club is growing! Or maybe we should make it the three feet wide club. Just ordered a 60x36x26 (have a 30 deep now and I found it difficult to work on the sandbed) from Aquarium Obsessed. jealous you got the AGE, but they more more than twice the price...subscribing here.

What do you guys think about the Sfiligoi 12x54w T5 fixture AO has? I'm thinking about getting that as I have my mind set on going all T5 for this setup. With the 10% discount, it is not much more than buying ice cap retros.
