i know im overstocked for a 50 gallon. can i leave this fish in there for a couple of more months. untill i can afford a bigger tank or now a.s.a.p, what tank size you suggest. my tank is 6 months old and have had all these fish together for the past 3 to 2 months. put them in slowly. the guy at the lfs here told me a 100 gallon. but to always keep my eye on the undulate and water changes. i have had no problems at all these past few months. Just keep doing my reg water changes weekly and cleaning once a week. i have plenty of live rock and water is clear and feed them 3 chopped up cubes a day squid, plankton, mysis shrimp, brime, formula 1 and 2, blood worms or krill, make sure they eat all of it. any advice on anything else or feeding.

50 gallon fowler tank, bak pak 2 skimmer, emporer 400 filter, jbj 7watt uv, 2 marineland heaters, 80p fiji live rock, 50p of tonga branch live rock, weekly 10 percent water changes, ph at a steady 8.3, nitrite 0, ammonia 0, nitrate at 20, no higher then 30 or water change. Test it once a week. 3inch clowntrigger, 3inch huma trigger, 2 inch undulate triggerfish that i put last of course, 3 inch lionfish, 3 inch star and stripes dogface, 3 inch valentine puffer and lil yellow head eel, tank has been up and running for 6 months, going to upgrade to a 100 gallon because of the fish of course, going to turn this 50g into a reef if all goes good and the 100 into a fowlr. for aggressive. Thank you.

Honestly, I think you will need a good deal larger than a 100 to keep those. Clown triggers get large and mean - I would say go 180 minimum. I would also say keep the undulate in the 50 and move the other fish over. Undulates are extremely aggressive triggers and often do not tolerate other fish for long. They are wonderful fish, but a lot of times they are suited to a species tank with no other neighbors. Also the valentine puffer honestly is not gonna be big enough to stand up to the abuse he might take in that tank, so I would recommend potentially looking for a new home for him.

Your tank sounds like a ticking time bomb, so I would diffuse it as soon as possible. In general triggers can be difficult to pair, and undulates and clowns can be some of the worst.

The feeding sounds fine, as does the maintenance regimen, but the fish choices are what I am most concerned about.
