$500 efflo

Has anyone seen the $500 efflo in person? I am wanting to get that coral and the palmers blue mille. I just wonder if it is just the story behind it that makes it appealing or if it really is a spectacular coral.

Wow... $500 acro?

Not sure if anything is that pretty to me, except maybe dragon soul acans. :D

Got any pics?

Don't know the story, but I have a hard time spending that much on anything without some kind of warranty... and usually in SW there is no such thing. I'd hate to have something like that die on me after 2 days in my tank... shipping can be rough and there's really no way to know what happens between here and there.

Also, efflos are awesome, but they never look right until they are a big size (kind of like monti caps) and I can't imagine they get that way overnight.

Wow... I do have to say that is a gorgeous coral. I'd pay $125 for it if I knew my tank was ready for it and it wouldn't die on me. :)

I got the $500 efflo frag. I also got palmers blue mille, and the atlantis strawberry prostrata. They sent me one free frag that I haven't identified yet. Here is a pic of the unidentified free frag.

I got them all from atlantis, I'll give them a few days to color up a bit then i'll try to get some shots. Anyone have any ideas what this coral might be? Really big polyps for an sps.

I'm not saying it is one at all (although the colors may not be too far off if this one is not fully colored up), but the polyps look like they have the general size and shape of an ORA Chip's Acro. The general growth form (being relatively disorganized looking compared to many other acros) also looks about right.

The polyps on mine are whiter, but honestly under my lights I don't think mine looks much like a lot of the other pictures I've seen. I also don't think that the picture on ORA's website looks much like the other Chip's Acros I've seen (that picture looking way more pink than the purple with some green that I've seen elsewhere). This is why coral scientists don't rely on color for identification...

Anyway, that's just a thought, but I'm no coral ID expert so I'll leave it to the pros.
