If you are a youngster who wants to get into reefing but have no money, here is your chance (see below).

HI guys. With some regrets, I am getting out of reefing for a while. To that end I am selling my setup and all my stuff. Since the club was so good to me some seven years ago when I first started reefing, I want to return the kindness on my exit from reefing. I am happy to offer up what I think will be a good deal. I am leaving reefing because my kids are heading to college so I have bills to think about and I am just not getting the enjoyment out of it that I once did. Know that all my stuff is used and if you are or know an electrician and/or know how to use a soldering gun, that would be a plus (ballast it acting up, see below). Here is what I got along with its status. I have provided links to most of the products so you can see what they are. Most stuff is used unless otherwise noted. To my knowledge everything is in working condition except the ballast.

NanoCube HQI http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=18192 This comes with everything in the 500$ setup including the stand, BUT NOT the wavemaker, it shorted out.

Second NEW NanoCube Tank (I bought a new tank a few months ago because I thought I had a leak but now I am thinking it was from evaporation so the new tank is still in its unopnened shipping crate).

Hood (lighting system does not light up), I believe this may be due to the switch in the ballast needing resoldering. I have extra switches but my manual dexterity is not what it used to be. It might not be this, I don't know so an electrian would be able to figure it out. There must be one in the club right?

Pair of mated tomatoe clowns. Yes, they lay eggs prolifically.

100$ worth of Hikari frozen mysis shrimp (the cube blister packs). You will need some space in your freezer for these. http://oceanaquatics.com/store/product/127/Hikari-Mysis-3.5oz-Cube/
Remora skimmer (bought used but I never used it myself so I assume it works but don't really know). http://www.aquabuys.com/page/aqb/PROD/ac_remora
Auto Topoff Unit (NEW) http://www.aquacave.com/detail.aspx?ID=1935
RODI setup w/ extra dual media housings produces 0 PPM http://cgi.ebay.com/Reverse-Osmosis...all_Kitchen_Appliances_US?hash=item5ad69674a0
TDS Meter http://www.marinedepot.com/HM_Digit..._Systems-Captive_Purity-RO1312-FIROPM-vi.html
2x Marinland HOT Canister Filters (these are great filters if you ask me, I love them) http://www.petco.com/product/2399/M...Hang-On-Tank-Convertible-Canister-Filter.aspx
lots of filter media for the above items (charcoal, phosphate remover, rodi media)
BIG box of filters for the above (many water polishers and sleaves)
Several air pumps of various sizes
Lighting system for growing your own algea
Brine Shrimp Hatchery
Six or so Culligan Five Gallon Water Juggs, very convenient for holding RO water.
Whatever other reefing stuff we can find in my house while you are here.

It all goes as is where is. I am not interested in parting anything out so don't ask. You come to my place to pick it up at your convenience but you take it all. Price is not negotiable as I believe this is a pretty good deal.

You should be ready to spend two hours at my house and be prepared to move the fish and visit my basement and garage for whatever other reefing goodies might be lying around. I want it all gone. If you prefer a weekend pickup, I will do my best to get everything collected together for you before you arrive but still plan on the two hours at my house.

The alternative deal... So, if you are at least 13 and thought about getting into reefing but don't have the money, I am willing to accept 50 hours of work on my yard this summer instead of cash. We can work out the details, but you must ask your parents first if this is OK with them. They will after all have to drive you here on the days that you work for me. You would be doing grass cutting each week all summer, raking leaves, general yard cleanup, and helping me open my pool; that kind of stuff. If you are willing to commit to the work, lets talk.

Call me if interested, Kevin Meade 860-425-0881 (Norwich CT 30 seconds off 395, exit 82), real easy to get to. I work from home so most of the time I am here.

There seems to be some confusion about the two tanks. Let me try to clear that up.

1) there is only one complete nanocube setup (one light/ballast/tank/stand etc.).
2) there is a second tank (tank only) that is new and still in shipping crate. This tank is a replacement tank for the nanocube setup and I was going to use it as a replacement for the current tank because I thought the current tank had a leak but since the lighting has been out, I have no water loss so I now believe there is no leak and both tanks are good.
3) I am in Norwich, not Norwalk.

Kevin
