Hello everyone. I am in the process of preparing my new reef tank after years and I am very excited about that.

The new tank dimensions are 52 x 32 x 24 height (130 x 80 x 60 h in metric), it will be sps dominated with a couple of clams and I am trying to find the optimal coverage with the Radion xr30 pro.

I was thinking that with 3 Radions xr30 pro, it would be more than enough for my setup. But the experts knows better :) . I am asking to give me your advise on the number or Radions as also the best lenses for my setup.

Thank you in advance

discos,

I would recommend using 2 Radion XR30w G3 Pro Radions. They will provide you with more then enough light for SPS and clams.

Thank you Alex for your quick responce! :)

I would like to ask also, what lenses you think are the ideal. 80 degrees or 120? Also how you propose me to install the 2 Radions on the tank? I mean in parallel to the 52 inches or to the 32 inches?

With these questions answered its all i wanted to know

Either lens will work, but considering the 32" width, I'd recommend using the Wide-Angle TIR lens with the lights left to right as shown below (with or without the Short Rail Kit).

I put 3 over my tank just to have better coverage, despite ecotech recommending 2. I wanted a blanket of light and overkill for coverage, something I think LEDs lack. Mine are G2 pros FWIW. I'm also planning SPS dominant. Tank is 52 x 26 x 19. I have them about 12" above water. Have not started stocking yet. Just a few tester frags for now.
