54 Corner Lighting Question.

Okay, I have this new tank now and it has an overhang box style lighting fixture.
Inside is 2x32 50/50 PC's and one 175 watt SE MH.

I guess my question is...what kind of corals/anemones,etc. could I keep with this lighting.

If it helps, my sand bed is about 4-5 inches deep, bringing everything closer to the surface. I also have about 50+ lbs of live rock.

You will be able to keep softies and lps in the bottom and middle. And sps towards the top. I would think you could have most anemones. I kept a LTA and BTA in a 375 gallon at work that only had 175's on it.

Alright, that's what I wanted to hear.

I was somewhat skeptical at first, but now that I really think about it, that's some strong lighting, and like I said, the sandbed makes it at least 4 inches higher.

One more question though....I have the light fixture hanging about 8-10 inches above the water...is this fine?

That shouldnt be a problem.

I have sps and a clam in my 12 gal aquapod and they are about 8 inches away from the light and I am only running a 70 watt halide over them.
