Hi, need some ideas as far as creating a sump for my 150 gal tank with dual overflows. I plan on going with dual Herbies for the overflows into my 55gal sump and just running a separate single line return. I don't have a diagram just yet, but just in my head. I want to keep a simple design for my sump flow in this skimmer-->refug-->return. The part i am confused on is the baffle sizes, i am a little pushed for space as i only have 26 total clearance for my skimmer, so i can't go much more than maybe 10-12 inches tall for my first baffle, is this too deep, should i stay at 10in?, second baffle 17 5/8 tall(leaves one inch from top and bottom), the 3rd is 6in tall for my fuge and the last is 6in tall with eggcrate and needlepoint attached up to the water line before entering the return channel, are the sizes a real big deal of these baffles? Basically im just using information off this site http://briansaquariumcare.com/customfiltersumps.html
I have no experience with sumps, but the purpose is very effective, yet basic from my understanding
