55 Gallon Live Rock Issue!!!

I currently have a 55 gallon tank with 55 gallons of live rock. I have a lighting fixture that is 760w total power. 2x250 HQI(Double ended Metal Halide), 4x65 Compact Flourescent 10k, and LED Moon lights. I recently just left the two HQI 2x250 bulbs on because I thought 500w was plenty after a few day of the lights on look what my rock look like. They are turning yellow, any one know what I can do to fix this Thanks, Picture should be below.(In the pictures the actinic lights are, thats why it looks blue)

P.S Also i just put two tomato clowns and they both died within a couple of days from ich!!! I need help LOL im losing money on fish haha any help would be great

Tank looks new. Did the tank cycle yet or did you just put the fish in?

Maybe i misunderstood but did you leave the lights on 24 hours a day for a few days??? If so, that will cause BIG time algae. You only need to leave the halides on for a few hours a day, especially considering you dont have any corals in there yet.


I agree with the previous response. Tank looks new and like it hasnt cycled yet. That is probably why the fish died.

1. Are you testing to see if the tank is cycling/has cycled?
2. How long are you leaving your light on?
3. How did you acclimate the clowns?

The air bubbler in the back is going to create lots of salt creep. I would get some more powerheads in the tank to increase the flow and surface agitation.
