55gal specific lighting...

hey folks, its been a while since i've been to RC... anyway, i just have a question... i just want a simple answer... i've got a 55 gallon tank, with approx 80 lbs of liverock, that of which i'll probably thin out pretty soon (not much room for aquascaping to make it look good).. anyway, at the moment, all i can say is that i want a reef aquarium in the future.. as far as what kind of corals, etc. i want, i can't say that.. i will say that i eventually want a tridacna clam or 2... anyway, instead of asking "what kind of lights should i get" i'm going to ask this : for all of you that have 55gal tanks, with a reef setup, what kind of lights are you running? i know that if i ask the first question, i'll most likely get "MH or t5's"... but that doesn't help me, i know that's what i need... but what about the 10k, 12k, or 14k, the wattage (i've learned that the 3-5 watts per gallon doens't really mean anything at all because the depth of the water will change it...) also, what brand do you guys use? because i know 2 setups can look exactly the same, same numbers and everytyhing, and one be a piece of poo while the other is awesome
