6.6 gallon reef tank....

I just inherited a 6.6 (long) reef tank. It has a hanging filter, 1 maroon clown (he is going to someone else) 1 cleaner shrimp (i guess its a female because she has laid eggs...) 1 button polyp, 3 tiny pieces of elk coral, 1 tiny tree coral (which type I don't know, it has tiny "hands" coming of the stalk), two fair sized pieces of live rock ( one has glass anemones, I bought Joe's Juice and they will be gone shortly) and pieces of rock put in there to create more live rock. It has sand and crushed coral as a substrate, and a reef sun(?) lamp.

My questions are...

I would like neon gobies (cleaner gobies?). How many could go in there?

Which corals or anemones stay small? (I am planning on setting up a 20 gal long reef)

How many turbo snails should I get? (I have a lot of green algae)

Any other information would be great!

Thanks!
Stephanie

A 6.6g tank is really starting to get to the point of where you shouldn't have a fish in it. IMO I would turn it into a coral only tank. A few snails should do the trick in keeping it clean.

There are some mini-carpet anemones that stay small. None of the other (desireable) anemones that you can buy stay particularly small, as far as I know.

Clown goby.

That would be a good little fish for it. Here is one that I just picked up a couple days ago. He loves living in my xenia :)

I could do a coral only that would be ok with me. And once I start my 20 gallon, I can move anything that is too big for the 6 gal to the 20. I am sure once things get big for the 20 I will purchase something bigger... :D,

The person who gave me this tank said he was getting some Xenia and when he did he would give it to me for the tank.... Good choice or no?

It could take over that small of a tank really fast so if you do get it just make sure you don't let the xenia get on the main rock work.
