6 bulb tek light and an 18" tall tank (50g, 38g etc), any experiences?

due to space restraints, i may have to go with the shorter 50g instead of the 65g.

just want to know what kind of success people have had with 6 bulb teks over a 18" tall tank. how are those sps? anyone with rics and or zoas as well?

please keep the responses specific to the post: 6 bulb tek and 18" tall tanks. ive read enough posts about different lighting schemes, and about water quality etc.

I used to have a 6 bulb tek over my 18" tall tank. It works extremely well since this is the optimal depth for t5 lighting to penetrate. If you need more par you can put extra 10k/6500k/11k bulbs into the fixture. For sps you'll want at least 3 =)
