6 carberryi anthias?

like this fish from live aquaria, was thinking of getting 5with 1 male, anyone have experence with this fish?

They are one of the easier anthias to keep, which is good. How big of a tank will these be going in?

To keep these, like with other anthias species, you need to feed frequently. This means upwards of 4x per day. They have a fast metabolism, the reason for so much feeding. I suggest you QT them and treat them with two treatments of Prazi Pro, as anthias frequently come in with worms (so I have heard).

i had a single lyretail years ago, and it did well with 2x feedings per day, so hopefully the carberryi will be the same. my concern is getting only 1 male or all female and telling the difference. dt is 280...

If it helps I have one male and three female Resplendent Anthias and there is a distinct difference between them.

I haven't found a picture showing the difference between male and female yet, hopefully when my new book comes I will be able to find something. I would suggest getting all females if you can help it. Though, I don't think LA allows you to pick gender...

You will be lucky if you can get carberryi down to two feedings per day. I know people are able to feed lyretails less than other anthias. My suggestion is that you start with a lot of feedings and slowly decreasing over time. While decreasing keep an eye on the anthias to make sure they are getting skinny are staying fat and happy.

i'm going to call LA and request 6 females next week...we will see? i have to wait to see if my purple tilefish is going to make it. i got him from LA too and he won't come out of his hole, going on 3 weeks! i had one before and he ate like a pig, but this one is very shy...
