Thanks, it's only about 20lbs of rock, but the seahorses like it. They hang out on the branch rock on the left side of the pic and hunt in the rock on the right side of the pic, as well as the caulerpa prolifera.

Wow. I like your set up. It looks sweet with all the prolifera in there. Wanna send some to me? Have the horsies had any babies?

Keep up the good work!

It's caulerpa prolifera and it grows roots. The small piece that recieved, I just put in the sand and covered it enough to stay, it did the rest from there.

Thanks for the compliments. I'm using a Prism Pro Deluxe skimmer and I went chincy with a power filter. I read about the Tetra Tec "living filter" and decided to give it a try. It's not that special, but there are two factors that I do like, a heater if you choose to use one can be placed in it and the output are directional. I also have a little walmart aqua tech 15 on it. The caulerpa, Xenia and skimmer are doing the bulk of the filtration. I have somewhere around 300 gph of flow on the tank without a powerhead and I have one dead spot in the front right corner.

Are there any other plants like the caulerpa prolifera? I called my lfs and they said htat they arent allowed to sell those? Anything similar with roots that are cheap??

Most non-calcerous macro algaes are going to have "roots" as you know them. I like the c. prolifera and the sawblade caulerpa for their ease and of the caulerpa, I've never had these two types go sexual to a devastating degree.

Okay thanks.
Why can't you buy calerpa in CA, I know you can't but why?

I believe that a type of caulerpa was found growing in california waters. In order to prevent an invasive species from taking over and destroying the ecosystems fish and game have banned all caulerpa

Here's a nice pic of my two female kuda:
