60 Gal Cube Build...... help wanted!

Well the tank is chuggin along nicely! UPDATES:

- Added a school of 10 clowns and and watching them closely for bad behavior. So far so good!

- Added and mounted most of my acans / blastos from my 120 and theya re moved in pretty happy.

- Added a green BTA and 2 rock flowers, all are doing well.

- trying to raise my nutrients slowly. Still struggling with what i believe might be dinoflagelates. Nast boogers! Regular manual removal is getting the job done for now.

It is amazing how this tank is behaving like a new tank even as it is attached to an established system!

Latest pics: ( the rose bubble and green bubble were molested by my emerald crab before pics were taken and were not in his full show off mood)

If you have enough anemones you may never have an aggression issue. Give all the clowns a place to go. :)

That is the intent. That and keep them well fed witch will benifit the LPS. The master plan is in place, now to see if it works. All of the clowns were the same size when i put them in, Hopefully they play nice and all find a place to live. If any problems arise I have a 3 other tanks that are currently clown free and can move anyone being bullied there.

My 120 has survived the ordeal as well. Little problems here and there but for the most part i think im back on track!

The T5 lights in the frag cabinet raised the temp too much with the door in place. Ended up getting an AC vent cover and putting it on one end with a clip on desk fan on the same timer as my T5 fixture to keep things cool. Works great.

Still need to tighten up all of my wiring. Its out of sight and labeled but still pretty much a mess.

Happy to report that the design works very well. Easy water movement, quiet, adjustable.

I dont plan on tackling another tank project (in my house) for quite some time! Now I can concentrate on getting everything to grow!

would you be able to take a few pics of it? i need to do something similar and your looks really good.

this is the door off of the hinge. The face of the door is plastic waynes coating/ tongue and groove sold at lowes. all of the pieces are mounted to a piece of plywood that fits the opening inside of the 2x4 frame of the tank. The bottom of the door rests on the bottom molding.

Back of the door and top trim. It is all held together with liquid nails.

This shows the cabinet magnets, and the frame that the plywood rests in

I love this picture! Are any of the clowns hosting the 'nems? Do they look as dark in person as in the pic?

No clowns hosting yet. They did dig around in the nem when i fed it the other day but as soon as the food was gone they left it alone. :mad2:

The colroation on the clowns is off in the picture. 8 of the orange are still showing the same colro as when i got them. The 2 black clowns are looking the same as well.

These little suckers can EAT! I have kept them fat and happy. They are growing quickly!
