Stand is finally build time to stain it and seal it

Should be it's about 5in from the top of the sump to the stand if not I'll just build a custom sump but I'll wait until I get a skimmer to decide

Ok well got me a skimmer and tested in the sump and was unable to remove the collection cup so I disassembled the sump remove all trim cut all seam out and cut 2in off each side and reassemble the sump. Now I have a 17.5 gal sump

How much do you think a build like this would cost if you had to buy the glass? It seems like the only cost for the tank is glass, clamps and silicone?

If you went to a glass shop and buy your glass from them it cost about $300-$400 depending on what edge work you get done. They a little more cost then you think. I had to also buy tape razor blades trim acrylic weld-on and then all the plumping stuff and any tools like glass hole saws I have about $800-$900 in to anything

the sump is done after removing all trim and cutting apart the tank and cutting 2 in off the height reassembling the tank and adding all the baffles that I cut out of a old 29gal

Nice and clean job..on the hole made for the drain on the stand I would have made alittle bigger..imo ..I had a bulkhead crack and it was a pain in the neck to remove and replace
