60 Gallon Stock

Hey all, I had a couple fatalities in my tank recently opening up some space to allow for more fish. I have a little list of fish that I'd like to add and I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on compatibility or any general feedback would be appreciated. It is a reef tank dominated mostly with euphyllia coral.

Currently have:
- 2 clowns
- Mandarin
- Scooter Blenny
(Both have been in my tank for a year and are trained eaters, not worried about that before people jump on that one lol)
- Yellow Watchman
- Purple Firefish

Looking to stock with:
- Clown Goby
- Royal Grama
- Blue/Green Chromis (3)
- Bartlett's Anthia
- Maybe blue reef chromis (2)?

60 Gallon Tank
20 Gallon Sump

I've lost a firefish to jumping out, so I'm staying away from wrasse for the same reason. And never really been a fan of the hawkfish.

Why skip the chromis? From my understanding they're actually a docile fish to other fish.

Royal Grama can be a bit aggressive, and are known jumpers.

Clown Gobies are great reef fish. I'll be adding one (or more) to my 60g cube at some point.

The Bartlett's Anthias might be a good choice, but in your size tank, you're only going to have one... and one Anthias always looked lonely to me...

You might look at some of the other basslets, A Chalk Bass comes to mind. Less aggressive than the Royal Gramma, hardy, doesn't get too big...

How 'bout a free swimming blenny? One of the Fang Toothed blennies, I have a Smith's blenny, but there are several that might be a good fit. Canary, Forktail... Lots of personality, very active.

Since you're feeding a mandarin and a scooter blenny, you might look at a pipefish of some sort. They'd probably get along with your current fish pretty well, and they're quite interesting in a reef. Maybe a yellow clingfish... along the same lines as the pipes.

Enjoy :)

I've heard mixed things on the RG's. Some people say they're quiet fish other say they are aggressive. I was going to get a bicolor dotty but though this would be the friendlier option.

It's the coloration of the RG that I enjoy :/ ; maybe I'll opt out of the RG. I enjoy how peaceful my tank is.

I did have the lawnmower blenny for a while, he had the interesting habbit of sleeping on my coral; usually my toadstool. One night he decided my torch would be a nice home. He is no more.

I'll probably look into the pipe fish once I get my pod population back up. It's not as strong as I'd like it. I got the other two to eat my frozen foods.

Any say on the chromis?

I have a Royal Gramma that is about 6 years old now. Originally had him in a 65 gallon with a pair of Percula clowns and a few other smaller fish. He would occasionally get aggressive with the clowns by posturing with his mouth open towards then but never actually hurt them or any other fish. He is now in a 125 gallon with larger fish and is a model citizen. It is one of my all time favorite fish. I say go for it.

Consider that 6 fish in a 60 might be already be a full load.
-I could never keep anything above 6 fish in my 50G with 20g sump
