6000 not working

I have a tunze 6000 and it is not working. I cleaned it and also made sure everything was in good condition. it's only about 1year and 1/2 old. i have it on a controller with two 6100's. when i disconnect the 6100's and just connect the 6000. the lights look dimm on the controller and switch around in a funny pattern. I need help.

If it is run with no controller what happens?

I know you said you cleaned it but are you sure the magnet is not cemented to the upper bearing by calcium- this is the disk at the bottom that the red oring is under. Also, is the hole in the center of the megnet clear of any obstructions.
