6000 questions

i am a college student, and being low on funds, i found a person selling a Tunze 6000 pump. the questions i have, are that i know these are no longer available and what are my concerns?

the guy is only wanting 125 for the pump, 6080 mag, and 7091 controller

my tank is about 1/2 - 5/8s thick and will the mag fit this?



i want honest opinions. if it is worth it, the let me know. (i have no current Tunze pumps, so this will be my first experience) should i pass and keep saving for the 6105 that you told me about earlier or what are your concerns?

The 6000 does 1800 gph about, the only parts that are still available are the drive units, orings and propeller housings. The 6080.500 magnet holder will work on glass up to 1/2" thick. If the pump is presently in good working condition and has no damage to the cords, I would say that isn't a bad deal, but it is hard to say without seeing it.
