600g Flow Help

So I'm trying to determine how to go about getting good flow and plumbing in a future 600 gallon tank 96x48x30. Any advice or concerns are welcome.

I'll have 14 holes drilled into the tank. Two overflows, three holes each. I'm thinking one of the overflows will have one return and two drains while the other will have two returns and one drain. I'm thinking the holes for the returns should be 1.5inch while the drains will be 2inches? Thinking of using a Sequence Reeflow Hammerhead or equivalent(5800gph) for the return? Or should I use two different pumps for the returns (both equaling to roughly 5500gph turnover)? It will have to pump up against about 5ft. Good/bad and why? Any suggestions?

Also for a closed loop system, I will have 8 holes to work with. I was thinking of running two closed loops driven by Hammerheads or their equivalents (5800gph). I would think that a 2 inch feed and 3x 1 inch returns would be good for each set of the closed loops. Or should I just use one pump with 2 feed lines and 6 returns?

Additional flow would be probably be supplied by 2to4x MP40s or 2to4x Koralia 8 Magnums. Or maybe a mix of these.

Any useful comments or advice would def be welcome. Thanks in advance, I look forward to hearing what you have to say. :reading:

I'd go with 2 different return pumps incase one fails so you aren't up that world famous creek without a paddle. However, you could just run one big pump like you say and have a replacement always available. the return sizes and drain sizes sound good so far, and I'd go with the vortec pumps instead of koralias simply because I like the less intrusive look of them. Than again, the koralias could be hidden in the rockwork like I did with mine... hmmm... So far your setup sounds good with the two closed loops and the 4 powerheads. Definetly have them running on a wavemaker for the randomness we always try to create and you should be set since it seems like you know what you're talking about. The only thought I had was maybe having 3 overflows since the tank is so long but it should be more then fine with 2
