Hey all,
I just received my 6025 in the mail from Santa
I had read in several threads here that the plastic clips were weak. But no one posted a picture showing them. So I thought I would help out anyone else that might be confused:
Here is a closeup of the clips:
I tried removing the cardboard from one side of the clips and immediately bent them despite trying to be gentle. So then I decided to simply cut the cardboard away:
Which then let me simply lift the cardboard away without any risk of pressure on the clips:
Assembly was very easy after that and after cleaning my back wall a little, it is in a temporary home:
The flow is a little weaker than I expected on my hand, but in the tank I see corals swaying that are out of its direct path, so I would say the flow is nice.
I'm happy with the product and am looking forward to adding a 6045 and hope that packs more of a punch. Yes the clips are easy to bend, but if you just cut the cardboard away, problem solved. Once installed the clips feel very secure and so far my pump has been silent.
Thanks Roger!
Brian
