6025 broken shaft...rust?

today was tank cleaning day. when i unplugged one of my pumps, to move the magnet clip, and plugged it back in it did not start up.... out the pumps came, they needed to be cleaned anyways.

when i began cleaning the problem pump i pulled the rotor/magnet out to clean it... the entire shaft came with. i'm guessing this is why it had starting problems? what really concerns me is the rust that was on the shaft and magnet. i realize if anything our tanks are iron deficient, but still that something i want to be able to control :lol:

any help/insight?

Tunze had a batch of bad shafts from their supplier. I would PM Roger and I'm sure he will take care of you when he gets back from vacation.

Flint&Eric,

This will need to be sent in please PM roger "rvitko" as poppin_fresh mentioned. You can use as is for now with out any harm, the shaft will reseat for a short time.
