I have 2 6025's and love them
today I went to move one of them and the clamp broke.
I then moved the other and the clamp is also broke.
are theese parts sold seperatly ?
or do I have to send them in ?
Thanks
Mike

They are sold seperately, part 6025.51, please PM me an address and what you need and I will send it.

From the looks and sounds of things...I think Tunze has some re-engineering to do. The tiny clips seem to be the achilles heel of these fine pumps!

Mine just broke...

Roger, you got PM.

It is something I plan to discuss with Axel when he gets here this weekend. I do believe though that when they are correctly made they are very durable. I use these pumps myself and my first clips broke but the replacements have been fine. However, I think the part is so thin it is difficult to manufacture without error. What seems to happen is the plastic gets scorched in the mold or the glass fiber accumulates in this part. The intention was to make this magnet holder multi use and that is the reason the clip is detachable. That is also the reason for the two screw holes.

Hey why didn't you say so earlier!:)

I saw those two holes but it never clicked. I could so easily put two screws in and attach one of my nanos on my overflow box. Most overflow boxes have built-in slits on the outside layer, as long as you don't penetrate the inner layer--which is very important BTW.

Is this one of Tunze's intention? If so will the above plan create any unwanted noise or vibration?

BTW, one way to avoid breaking the clamps and the little clips is to hold both the clamp base and the magnet by one hand, and slide the ball out of the clamps from the side, not pulling it out directly away from the clamp/holder.

I have played with those pumps so many times and have not broken one yet, knock on wood.

The intention was so you can screw the nano skimmer and nano filter to the magnet holder and use the magnet holder on these products as well as future products.

Well good to know, maybe a screw-on clamp will avoid all those little clips from breaking.

I thought I read the manual quite carefully and there is no mention of the ability to use a magnet with the nano skimmer. Is this a future design feature or can be used currently ? I hate those brackets.

No, it isn't mentioned, it was something we were still experimenting with, but it does work. It will be in the next catalogue and the next manual revision.

Hi Roger,
I was going to start another thread but I found this one. I purchased two Tunze 6025 about 6-months ago. Do you know if there is a warranty on the pump bracket / clamp? One of my pump bracket (the section that “squeezes” the round pump itself) has a crack and now the bracket cannot hold or clamp down on the pump. How would I go about getting a replacement bracket. Thanks, Dean
