6025 rattle

for some reason my 6025 has begun to rattle it is all clean I tried taking out of the water a few times and also turning it on and off its under a year old I thought these were supposed to last forever. its my most expensive powerhead with the least amount of flow but itmakes way more noise than even my maxi mod. any tips would be appreciated

Is the shaft possibly broken or loose if you remove the impeller?

I have never tried to move it I will have to try try that later

Dont try force it out or pull it out, it will be noticable as soon as you take out the impeller. It would basically fall out if free. How long have you had it, has it been noisey the whole time?

I have had this since march of this year as I pulled the impeller the metal shaft fell right out I didnt even have to touch it. where is the best place to get a new one or should this be warranty?

I have this same problem on one of my 6045's...it just started to rattle very loudly after 6.5 months' use. I took it out of the tank so my fish could recover.

Are these under warranty?

Yes this is under warranty and was a known problem some of the early ones had that Tunze has since addressed. Shoot Roger (rvitko) a PM or email and he will get you taken care of!
