6025

I have five Tunze 6025 nanostreams. The four older ones have a U shaped holder that clips directly to the magnet. The newer one has something that looks like four blue rubber pegs that fix the holder to the magnet. After putting the new Nanostream together, I found that the rubber pegs quickly pull out of the holder. Is it still possible to get the old style holder? I'm surprised that you changed anything. There were definitely some problems with the first generation, but I have had no problems with my older 6025s.

The rubber pegs dampen the transmission of vibration and reduce noise, this was mainly a problem on thinner glass, but it was a design change that was implemented fall of 2010. They should hold, though they can pull out if you try to move the pump. I would make sure all 4 are pushed in all the way. They still make the old clamp, it is the stock clamp on the 6015. It is part 6025.510, all other models now include the silence clamp as standard.

Roger, do you know if all Tunze vendors are carrying the newer model clamp? I was looking at 6025s on MarineDepot and wanted to make sure I was getting the newer clamp, since I had noise issues with some older ones. The manual they link refers to the old clamp in the parts list. Not sure if this is just an outdated manual or what. Thanks!

Every 6025 made since November 2010 has the new silence clamp, it would be unusual if a large mail order vendor had the old product in stock, I suspect it is just an older image.
