6045 problem

Hello Roger,

One of my 6045's is making a rattling noise. I tried it in the sink without the cap and the rattling stopped. It starts again with the cap on. Thanks for any advice or help.

Is the metal shaft inside damaged or broken? It should stay attached to the bottom of the pump.

Oh. It comes out with the blade, and there appears to be a small piece of it still in the bottom.

Send in the pump and we will replace it, the oldest pumps had a Chinese made 316ss shaft, we now use a German made 316ti shaft so this problem has been solved. They broke, from what I can gather online, because the Chinese use the same machines for multiple grades of steel which is a big no no, this results in contamination and weak points. We changed the material in production in June 2007.
