6045 won't spin

I got back from 3 days vacation and my 6045 (a few months old) was not working.

I cleaned the housing of some algae and now it tries to spin but the propeller is clacking against the side of the housing, right where the round output part starts.

I can't really tell from the instruction book but as far as i can see, the split part of the propeller is supposed to be forward (ie the rounded edge of the propeller blades is supposed to be forward), is this correct?

As far as I can see there is nothing supposed to be holding the front of the impeller or propeller against the front of the housing, is that correct or not?

Any suggestions on how to get the 6045 working?

I suspect the shaft is broken, their is a metal shaft inside the impeller well that centers the drive unit and it probably broke free, please check.

The shaft is in place and not broken.

Can you confirm the proper orientation of the plastic blade. Is it flat part in front (split part in back) or flat part back?

OK so I have taken the 6045 apart, soaked it in vinegar, cleaned all the parts, and put it back together.

Now 1 time out of 10 it will start and flow properly. Nine times out of ten the impeller spins and the propeller comes flying off the impeller.

I don't know if I need a new propeller or a new impeller, can you advise me please.

Send in the pump, it could be the drive unit, it could be the disk, it could be a problem with the motor itself.
