6055 and nano wavebox power supplies

Roger,

Do you now where I can purchase new power supplies for my pumps? My electronics cabinet flooded last night and I need to replace these ASAP. I think the controller and connections to the pump/controller are OK, though I will know more when I can inspect closer when I get home from work.

Thanks.

Chad

You could get set up immediately at any electronics store, the power supply is basically a 30w Netbook/PDA/accessory power supply, locally they run from $30-$60 a piece depending on quality, I would avoid anything with a fan or openings for cooling, most will have some sort of voltage adjustment, the most common seems to be a rotary knob from 12-24V in 3V increments. You would need a 2.5 by 5.5 mm tip and it is "tip positive".

You could also order them on Tunze.com, the bad news is I am out until next week, they would ship from here as soon as they arrive, ours is about $45. Part 6055.240.

OK.
Thanks Roger, I will see if I can get back up today, if I can't find them I will order through tunze. Thank you!

Yes, but they are generally much more expensive. You should be able to find them, they run external harddrives, netbooks, PDA's. Radio Shack has them but is one of the more expensive sources. Fry's has them for sure.

Thanks Roger, I ended up picking up some 90 watters for $55 from Micro Center to get the pumps back up on Friday.

The problem that I was running across was most of the lower wattage power supplies with selectable voltage only went to 19 volts... It's all good, I am back up and running (sans refugium) now.

Thank you for confirming they are OK.
