6055 clicking noise

My 6055 is clicking when turned on. It has the newer graphite shaft but I was reading something about a grommet that I might be missing?

There is a disk that goes under the pump, but if it is the pump that you just sent in, that one should have everything to current specs.

No, it's not the same one... I got 2 on that sale I mentioned before and it seems that the second one is also misbehaving...

Ah, OK. Please look down the hole and check the disk at the bottom, it should be black, if it is stainless steel or white adding a black disk will solve it. Also check the propeller, I know the shaft is the black graphite reinforced one but we made this change before we made the prop tight fitting. If you try to twist the prop on the one I sent you it will be tight on the shaft, the other one should be the same way.

Yep, it looks like I have the stainless steel disk...

Is the propeller tight on the shaft?

Yes, it's pretty tight. It does move up to a point if you push it. But it's not loose, you have to put some presure to move it.

I will mail you a disk and you will remove the stainless steel one and install the new one.
