6055 problem

I have 4 6055s on a 7095 controller. It has been up and going for about 2 years or so. Now one of them is not working at all. I cannot get it to work with any of the other transformers or cords or spots on the controller. It is completely dead. What should I do? Rick

I would double check that the prop is not seized in the pump by calcium, it should spin freely on the metal shaft that is fixed in the pump. If it does not pull out easily, likely it is seized to this shaft. In that case do not force it, if the shaft is pulled out the pump is generally destroyed and needs to be replaced.

cleaned it with white vinegar overnight soak. Now works like a charm. Interesting that it was not stuck or seized, it turned in the chamber but would not work until cleaned overnight. Thanks. Rick

When you do a soak, please remove the propeller/magnet (drive unit) before soaking, otherwise the vinegar penetrates the key areas poorly. Soak the motor and drive unit as seperate pieces.
