6055 voltage question

Good Morning All,

Forgive my lack of electrical knowledge. When the slide on the bottom on the power supply is set to 12v I am assuming at 100% the output is about 725gph. :crazy1:

Roughly, it isn't an exactly linear relationship, but that would be pretty close.

Even at 12v there is a surprising amount of flow throughout the tank, albeit a small 37g Oceanic, and I have two 6055s in there. I have always run them at 24v pulsing from 100% to 30% and it is a lot of flow. I have always had good PE on my SPS but it is even better with the more gentle flow. Maybe it was a little too much before? The Duncan is definitely happier. Perhaps I will try a little experiment with the lower flow for a while, with an occasional 24v storm and see what happens. As always, your information and advice is much appreciated Roger.

Thanks, for a 37 24V may be too much, but you might want to try 15 or 18V.
