Roger,hey i just bought a new 6055 to add to my collection and was wondering if i just leave it at 24v and whats needed for a BBU.

You can set the voltage to adjust the flow but 24V is full power. For a battery back up you need the 6105.500 safety connector, a sealed 12V battery and basically the amp hours will be about the number of hours it will run the pump as the pump draws about 1amp at 12V and a trickle or float charger suitable for the battery.
