6060 ? with apex

I just picked up 2 6060's from a buddy that shut his tank down. Now from what I read they are not controllable, but if I hook them up to my apex with an osillating setting then I should be able to get a some random flow correct or will this harm the pump?

Yes, that could harm the pumps. As non-controllable pumps the 6060s need to self-correct when they're switched on and run in reverse. The self-correcting doesn't harm the pump under normal use, but repeatedly self-correcting, as would happen if run on any sort of wave or oscillation program, will wear the impeller out prematurely.
