6091 controller

Just recently purchased the 6091 controller and plug it in and it works. Tried the feed mode, waited for about 10-15 min for controller to come back on. It didn't. After unplugging and plugging back several times and it decided to work. Came back next day to plug it again to try it didn't work (was unplugged previous day). Had to repeat process again for it to work. Emailed seller and he said I have to switch the jumper between the 3 modes of operation for it to work? I have to remove the screws and the white controller nobe? Tried removing the nobe, doesn't want to move. Any suggestion to how to remove the nobe and do I need to switch the jumper for this to work?

The knob has to be pried off with a screwdriver, it will just pop up if pried up. Be careful not to damage the face of the controller. The jumper would not have anything to do with the foodtimer. But you will need to open it to fix this problem. The foodtimer button is obviously bent or getting caught under the cover so it is not popping up properly, you will need to move the button a little so it lines up properly with the hole in the cover.
