6091 lights working, but not functioning

I recently picked up a malfunctioning Wavebox 6212. The pump works just fine (I hooked it up to my other 6091 controller and the pump operates correctly). The problem with the malfunctioning 6091 is that the lights appear to be operating as they should, but the controller fails to cut the power to the pump. In other words, the pump is continuously on. Is this possibly a fixable problem or is the controller toast?

Edit: I opened it up and it appears nice and clean inside, although I notice both the blue and yellow wires have been cut or something. Is this normal? I can't find a picture of the inside of one of these controllers.

It might be, if it is just the controller cable it could be replaced, if this is the case it should work with the "slave" cable. Only 3 of 5 wires from each cable are connected. If there is any water damage to the board on the top or bottom it is toast though and the 7092 would be the current equivalent.
