6095 Issue

Have a 2 yr.old 6095. I run it on a 7095 on interval 2 opposite a 6055. The 6095 started to run intermittently a few weeks ago. I installed a new drive unit but it has not helped. Could you advise on what could be the problem? Thanks

Are you sure the metal shaft the propeller spins on is free of calcium deposits and the pump is clean inside? The most common cause will be that the pump has some calcium deposits and it runs hot as a result of the friction and drag and then shuts off until it cools down.

I gave a vinegar bath a few weeks ago, I will do it again. It runs very erratic, it will shut off for 2 sec. to 30sec. then run for a few seconds to a few minutes. It seems to want to stop/start when on 30 percent more than 100 percent. Thanks

Do the vinegar bath with the propeller/drive unit assembly removed. Keep me posted on the result.

I did another vinegar bath, no improvement. I tried different voltage settings, and removing it from the 7095, still ran erratic. Today it seems to be running properly.? Does the attenuation disc have any effect? I did not remove that. Thanks for your help Roger.

I would send it in for repair.

The disk would only be responsible if it was upside down or the hard black plastic disk was missing leaving only the blue silicon cup. The impeller assembly should ride on the black hard plastic disk.

I pulled the disc out and there was a large calcium deposit (just like you said :) ) underneath it. Got it removed with a pick and it's running fine.
I appreciate your help!
