6095 Turbelle not working

Hi there Roger. One of my 6095's stopped the other day. I gave it a vinegar bath and cleaned it and put it back in. I did notice when I took it out that the engine side was hot. After I put it back in and plugged it it is now only working intermittently, constantly going on and off. Do I need to send it for repair? I took it apart once more and cleaned it with your citric acid, but it is just the same...

I would send it in, when you first disassembled it did you find any reason for it to have locked up?

6095 Turbelle not working

From time to time they tend to lock up, I gather due to precipitation of calcium and carbonates when in contact with the hot motor. When this happens sometimes it is difficult to get the propeller out without soaking for several hours. This time however it was not really difficult to take the propeller out, even though I only tried it after a 24h vinegar bath. So I did not find anything in particular, but than again it could have been again due to calcification.

Hi Roger. Just sent the unit for repair. The light on the transformer was red as soon as it powered up so I guess there is something wrong with the pump?

I would generally agree but I have seen power supplies light up and only put out 8V or so, not enough to run the pump.
