6100 control question

if i get the tunze 6100, can i use it with my aquacontroller jr. and have it switch on and off? i'm not planning on doing this long term, just until i get the controller. is there any downside to this?

The main downside is the risk of fish or snails entering when the pump is off and faster lime build up. Short term it should be OK.
