6100 or 6200

Roger, I was planning on getting some streams for my big tank. Tank is 120" x 24" x 36". Should I get 2 6100's, 4 6100's or should I wait until the 6200's come out and go with two of those? Inhabitants are mostly sps.

If you have a few months get the 6200's. The flow is even broader and more diffuse from what I have seen. If you can't wait more than a couple months it is probably best to get 4 6100's.

Are 2 6200's going to be able to carry throughout the whole 10' tank length? Or, will I have to get 4?

Each 6200 will have a flow of about 30" wide and 7ft long. I think with a strong return along the back two will cover it. I just finished my full analysis and testing of the Beta model today and there will be some set backs do to some problems I found. You will need to decide what time frame you have, I would wait, if you wait till summer you will be rewarded as we will have a lot of new things unveiled that I can't discuss now. I can show you in mid May. If you can't wait you should order a TS48. I don't want to promise something that is delayed which is the norm with these things. I also want you to know that it will not be possible to upgrade your 6100 to a 6200, the current electronics are incompatible with the higher power demand so if you jump now there will be no reversing your decision later.

Everything will be there on display. I will be working at the booth so it is likely we will meet. This year we have the booth next to Eheim, we used to be one isle over from Eheim and now we will have an endcap position facing them.

Roger, any more news on the 6200's? I currently have the 6110 and 6080 both in Decor Rocks. Would it be worth selling what I have now and stepping up to 6200 when they are out? and will it fit in the Decor Rocks? My current reef if 96"L x 36"D x 24"H

6200 will not fit in the current deco rock, we would need a larger outlet deco rock as the outlet is 2.5". It is scheduled for June but it is rare for things to happen on schedule so I don't want to promise anything.

BTW, I don't know that I would upgrade the advantage is a wider flow area 30" or so. The distance is the same as the 6100. I would stick with what you have, maybe add another 6100 or 6080.

how hard is it to get a pass to interzoo if you are not trade??

I don't know. I was always under the impression it was invitation only. They have check points everywhere. Maybe you can buy passes but I am unsure. I only know if you lose your pass no amount of kicking or screaming will get you back in and you have to wear it at all times. I would think somehow it must be possible to get in an as lots of small mainatnence companies and shops from the Middle East, Africa and Greece and Russia attend and I wouldn't expect they are big time clients. Also, lots of zoos send reps. Sometimes people who are just exploring the idea of starting a shop attend as well.
