6100 problem

Hi, my alarm went off the other day so i took it apart and cleaned it. put it back together and again the alarm went off, I have an extra empeller so I changed it, but again the alarm went off. So then I wanted to pinpoint the exact problem, so I switched the driver with my working 6100 and the driver worked, I also tried the other power suply to make sure that was not the problem and it also worked. So now I know the problem is the stream it self. Is there something I can do to try and fix it, can I send it in to be fixed or do I need a new unit? Also, if I do need a new stream can I buy it without the driver and power supply since I already have them. Thank you in advance for your response.

I think they offer a 2 year warranty so i would check into that first before buying another one.

Usually in this case the sensor that relays info to the driver has died or a solder joint failed. This can happen because the pump ran jammed for a long time or it could be a defect. It has a two year warranty, if it is less than 2 years old contact Phil at Tunze Canada- www.xeniainc.com, if it is more than 2 years old the motor block alone is about $85 US, I usually take 25% off in these cases.

thanks, I will contact him, I bought it second hand so I am not sure of the exact date of purchase, although the sticker in the driver casing says 8/26/05 so I am assuming it is still under warranty.
